- Ensayos reflejan opiniones personales acerca temas ambientales.
Journal information
The journal NEOTROPICAL HYDROBIOLOGY AND AQUATIC CONSERVATION accepts original contributions written in English or Spanish on the biology of aquatic flora & fauna and the ecology of freshwater ecosystems – including rivers, lakes, lagoons, reservoirs, wetlands, floodplains, and temporary aquatic environments. It also publishes on the threats affecting aquatic ecosystems and strategies to measure, prevent, or mitigate these impacts. Contributions on conservation, watershed management, and administration are also welcome, with a particular focus on the role of protected areas and indigenous lands; as well as original contributions on the sustainable use of aquatic and hydrobiological resources. Articles from across the Neotropical region are welcome, and contributions addressing aquatic connectivity and the transboundary context are encouraged.
The Journal publishes original scientific articles, reviews, notes, and infographics.
Scientific articles describe the results of a complete, unpublished study.
Short communications are notes on specialized topics.
Reviews are summaries of our knowledge on an environmental topic.
